The rapid expansion of social media has transformed the ways in which women communicate, learn, engage in professional activities, and exercise leadership. While digital platforms offer significant opportunities for empowerment, networking, entrepreneurship, and social participation, they also expose women to various online safety and privacy challenges. Issues such as cyberbullying, online harassment, cyberstalking, identity theft, account hacking, non-consensual sharing of personal content, and gender-based hate speech have become increasingly prevalent. These threats can negatively affect women's psychological well-being, social engagement, and professional development. This chapter examines the major online safety and privacy concerns faced by women on social media and analyzes their impact on digital participation. It further explores the role of feminine leadership and digital advocacy in promoting safer online environments. The chapter emphasizes the importance of digital literacy, policy support, technological safeguards, and collective responsibility in creating secure and inclusive digital spaces that enable women to participate confidently and effectively.
